Note: LOYED F. "STEVE" STEVENS, 88, of Brandon died Monday. A native of Midland City, Ala., he moved to the area in 1930. He was retired from Tampa Electric Co. and a member of East Chelsea Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Thelma; a son, Dale of Brandon; three daughters, Geraldine Sappenfield of Louisville, Ky., Peggy Mattox of Brandon and Janice Bryant of Lutz; a brother, Luther of Midland City; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Note: STEVENS, Thelma L., 91, of Brandon, passed away June 7, 2003. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Theron Shiver and her second husband, Loyed "Steve" Stevens. Survivors include her children; Don Hufstetler (Millie) of Riverview, Geraldi ne Sappenfield (Rich), Louisville, KY, Peggy Mattox (Bill) , Brandon, Jan Bryant (Ken), Lutz, Dale Stevens (Joan), Brandon; 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Emily "Dolly" Ivey (Herbert), Brandon, Lucille "Billie" Hufstetler, Tampa, and Harold Hufstetler (Agnes) of Tampa. Mrs. Stevens was a member of the East Chelsea Baptist Church. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Garden Of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E. Lake Ave., from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday evening. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday with The Rev. Raymond James officiating. Interment will follow in the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park.
